Headpins - Just One More Time (1983)

"Just One More Time" is a song performed by Canadian Rock group Headpins. It was released in 1983 as the lead single from his debut album, Line of Fire, and became a major hit single in 1983.

The group's sole entry on the US charts, "Just One More Time", spent nine week on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 70 in February 1984.

People Are People (Single) by Depeche Mode (1984)

"People Are People" is Depeche Mode's 10th UK single, and was recorded at Hansa Mischraum in West Berlin, and released on 12 March 1984. It was their first hit single in the US and the first single from the Some Great Reward album.

Our House by Madness (1983)

"Our House" is a song by British ska and pop band Madness. It was released as the lead single from their fourth studio album, The Rise & Fall, on 12 November 1982. The song charted within the top ten in multiple countries, being the band's only hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The song won Best Pop Song at the May 1983 Ivor Novello Awards.

"China" is a song by Red Rockers, released in 1983. It was a hit single, peaking at #53 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #19 on the Mainstream Rock chart.

Salt In My Tears by Martin Briley (1983)

One Night with a Stranger is the second album by English singer-songwriter Martin Briley, released in 1983. The album peaked at #55 on the Billboard Album chart, after debuting on May 7, 1983. This album featured the hit single "The Salt in My Tears" (No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100) and the minor follow-up, "Put Your Hands on the Screen."

Drop The Pilot by Joan Armatrading (1983)

"Drop the Pilot" is a song written and originally performed by Joan Armatrading. It was the first single to be released from Armatrading's 1983 album The Key, and was her third and (to date) final UK top 40 hit. It reached number 11 in the UK Singles Chart, and spent a total of ten weeks in the Top 40. The single was Armatrading's only appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, where it spent six weeks, peaking at number 78 on 25 June 1983.

"Whirly Girl" is a US top 40 pop song performed by American dance-rock band OXO. The new wave style song was written and co-produced by singer/guitarist Ish "Angel" Ledesma (former singer and guitarist of Foxy) and included on OXO's 1983 self-titled debut album. The song was about Ish's wife Lori and was originally titled "Worldly Girl", "but adding that 'd' to the mix made the chorus too chunky and difficult to sing. So they abbreviated it to 'Whirly Girl' and pop music history was made with the only song to ever use the phrase 'Whirly Girl'."It was the band's sole hit, peaking at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1983. The song has since been re-released on a number of 1980s music compilations.

"Come On Eileen" is a song by English group Dexys Midnight Runners (credited to Dexys Midnight Runners and the Emerald Express), released in the United Kingdom on 25 June 1982 as a single from their album Too-Rye-Ay. It reached number one in the United States, and was their second number one hit in the UK, following 1980's "Geno".

"Somebody's Knockin'" is the debut single of American country music singer Terri Gibbs. It was released in late 1980 from her debut album, Somebody's Knockin'. It was co-written by Jerry Gillespie and Ed Penney. Penney was a record company executive who liked Gibbs's voice when he first heard her audition tape, but felt she needed stronger material. Penney was a former Boston disc jockey who had promoted records and written a number of songs before moving to Nashville. He was the producer of "Somebody's Knockin'" and became Terri Gibbs's manager.
