The official remix of "Cheap Thrills" incorporates the vocal collaboration of Jamaican performer Sean Paul, with it being made available for digital download on 11 February 2016 as the record's second single. "Cheap Thrills" is a pop song with elements of electropop. The remix of the song featuring Sean Paul contains influences of Jamaican reggae. The song was originally meant for Rihanna's Anti, but after she turned it down Sia decided to keep it and use it for her seventh studio album.
In the United Kingdom, "Cheap Thrills" reached number two on the UK Singles Chart, marking Sia's highest peak as a lead artist in the United Kingdom. In the United States, the song reached the top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number three. It has become a career best for Sia as her highest-peaking single in the United States.
