Creedence Clearwater Revival - Down On The Corner (1969)

"Down on the Corner" is a song by the American band Creedence Clearwater Revival. It appeared on their fourth studio album, Willy and the Poor Boys (1969). The song peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 20 December 1969. The flip side, "Fortunate Son", reached No. 14 on the United States charts on 22 November 1969, the week before Billboard changed its methodology on double-sided hits.

The Band - Up On Cripple Creek (1969)

"Up on Cripple Creek" is the fifth song on The Band's eponymous second album, The Band. It was released as an (edited) single on Capitol 2635 in November 1969 and reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Up on Cripple Creek" was written by Band guitarist Robbie Robertson, with drummer Levon Helm singing lead vocal.

"Have You Ever Seen the Rain" is a tune composed by John Fogerty and discharged as a solitary in 1971 from the collection Pendulum (1970) by roots rock bunch Creedence Clearwater Revival. The tune diagrammed most noteworthy in Canada, arriving at number one on the RPM 100 national singles outline in March 1971. In the U.S., around the same time it crested at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 singles outline (where it was recorded as "Have You Ever Seen the Rain/Hey Tonight", together with the B-side). On Cash Box pop graph, it crested at number three.

"Keep Your Hands to Yourself" is a song by the American southern rock group The Georgia Satellites. The song was written by the group's lead singer, Dan Baird, and was released in 1986 as their debut single. The single reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week of February 21, 1987, kept off the top spot by "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi.

"Donna" is a song written by Ritchie Valens, featuring the 50s progression. The song was released in 1958 on Del-Fi Records. It was Valens' highest-charting single reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the following year. (Stagger Lee by Lloyd Price was at number one.) It was written as a tribute to his high school sweetheart Donna Ludwig.

The song was notably covered by Los Lobos for the soundtrack to the 1987 film La Bamba which portrayed the life story of Ritchie Valens. In one scene, Valens is shown singing it to his girlfriend Donna Ludwig on the telephone and in another scene Valens is shown recording the song in the recording studio, and in a third scene he is shown performing the song on American Bandstand.

"Green River" is a song by American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. The song was written by John Fogerty and was released as a single in July 1969, one month before the album of the same name was released (see 1969 in music).

Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival (1969)

"Bad Moon Rising" is a song written by John Fogerty and performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It was the lead single from their album Green River and was released in April 1969, four months before the album. The song reached No. 2 on the Hot 100 on 28 June 1969 and No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart for three weeks in September 1969 (see 1969 in music). It was CCR's second gold single.

Willy and the Poor Boys is the fourth studio album by American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, released by Fantasy Records in November 1969, and was the last of three studio albums that the band released in that year. The album was remastered and reissued on 180 Gram Vinyl by Analogue Productions in 2006.

The album features the songs "Down on the Corner", from which the album got its name, and "Fortunate Son", which is a well known protest song.

In 2003, the album was ranked number 392 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
