The Glow is the seventh album by Bonnie Raitt, released in 1979. One of the first albums to be recorded and mixed digitally.
However, unlike James Taylor’s and Linda Ronstadt’s almost concurrent releases, Raitt’s was far less successful in sales, airplay, and chart figures. The album peaked on the charts at number 30 - five points lower than Sweet Forgiveness, and, sadly, it failed to sell enough copies to be certified Gold. The album’s one hit single, the rocker “You’re Gonna Get What’s Coming” only made it to number 73 in Billboard.
