The track which had served as B-side to "Every Time I Think of You": "Head First", was issued as the A-side of the Babys' next single with another track from the Head First album: "California", as B-side. The "Head First" single peaked at number 77 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Babys would have a third and final Top 40 charting in 1980 with "Back on My Feet Again" (number 33).

The Pointer Sisters - Fire on Fire - The Very Best Of (1979)

The Pointer Sisters - Fire on Fire - The Very Best Of
"Fire" is a song written by Bruce Springsteen in 1977 which had its highest profile as a 1978 single release by the Pointer Sisters.

The inaugural single by the Pointer Sisters as the trio of Anita, June and Ruth Pointer, "Fire" was recorded for the group's November 1978 album release Energy. The lead vocal on the track was by Anita Pointer: on hearing the song's demo, which featured a deep Elvis Presley-type vocal, Anita Pointer had told producer Richard Perry: "It's too low for me: I guess you want Ruthie to sing it" to which Perry replied: "No - I want you to sing it."  Knight Ridder music critic Christine Arnold cited "Fire" as Energy 's highlight": Arnold - "Springsteen has created a song that might well have been done by the Ronettes in the '60s, and the Pointers inherit and develop the legacy nicely. Lyrically it's a simple song, but one that captures the indecision of a woman who wants and does not want a man all at the same time. And when the Pointers sing fire it's enough to sear your turntable."

Firefall - Strange Way on Greatest Hits (1979)

Firefall - Strange Way on WLCY Radio Hits
Jock Bartley experienced much success in the 1970s when his band, Firefall, topped the charts with a string of hits including "Thats a Strange Way” and “Just Remember I Love You.” But it was “You Are the Woman” that made the biggest connection with fans. “Every female between the ages of 18 and 24 wanted to be the woman portrayed in that song, and that caused their boyfriends and spouses to call radio stations and subsequently flood the airwaves with dedications of the song and the sentiment,” explains Bartley. “The message was simple and sincere, and the song was easy to sing. It was like our fans let us be a singing version of the Hallmark card that said what they weren’t quite sure how to express.”
