"Don't Let Me Down" is a song by American DJ duo The Chainsmokers. It was released on February 5, 2016, through Disruptor and Columbia Records. The song features vocals from American singer Daya.

"Don't Let Me Down" became The Chainsmokers' and Daya's first top 5 single in the United States. It also reached top 10 positions in several countries, including Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Robbie Daw of Idolator stated "[Don't Let Me Down] kicks off with a haunting guitar loop and 17-year-old Daya lamenting that she's 'crashing, hit a wall, right now I need a miracle.' By the time the chorus sweeps in, the song shifts into full-on trap mode." and called it a "trappy collaboration". Popdust's Jason Scott claimed "[Don't Let Me Down] is an enormously engaging strip of gritty dance-club euphoria. Percussion vibrates underneath a well-constructed skyscraper of synth and evocative vocals from the 17-year-old Daya." Rolling Stone named "Don't Let Me Down" one of the 30 best songs of the first half of 2016, writing "EDM may not dominate the charts the way it used to but the Chainsmokers' swirling, turnt-up love song proves the genre has a little fight left in it. Newcomer Daya goes to battle with the aggro, big room beats and ends up coming out on top."

"Focus" is a song recorded by American singer Ariana Grande, released on October 30, 2015. It serves as the lead single for her upcoming third studio album Moonlight. The song was written by Grande, Savan Kotecha, Peter Svensson, and Ilya.

"Focus" received mixed reviews from music critics, who noted its similarities to Grande's own "Problem". The song debuted at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Grande's sixth top-ten single in the United States, selling 113,000 downloads in its first week of release.

"Focus" is built on slick synths, clanging percussion and stabbing big-band brass. The song's structure has been heavily compared to Grande's previous lead single, "Problem", from her album My Everything. "Focus" features uncredited vocals from Jamie Foxx.

Upon release, "Focus" received mixed to negative reviews from music critics. Kaitlyn Tiffany from The Verge commented positively saying, "As Ariana Grande is a massively talented vocalist, the song "Focus" itself is very pleasant to listen to". Brennan Carley of Spin had a mixed opinion, commenting that the song was a "catchy slow-burn", describing it as a "horn heavy piece of retro-modern fusion". However, he also noted that Grande's vocals " any real excitement from a star who’s got the restraint and skill to take her instrument places most other pop singers can’t anymore". He criticized the "male howling the faux-chorus" for " grating quickly" and for making "Focus" too similar to Grande's previous lead single "Problem". Time‍ 's Nolan Feeney also commented it for being similar to "Problem", but noted that this might not be a bad thing, saying: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it—no need for Grande to check her vision here".

Billboard editors rated the song two-and-a-half out of five stars, commenting "Grande has never released a less-than-great single, until now, with 'Focus', a rehash of 2014's 'Problem'."

"Marvin Gaye" is the debut single recorded, produced and co-written by American singer Charlie Puth. It was released on February 10, 2015 by Atlantic Records, and features guest vocals by Meghan Trainor. Puth co-wrote the song with Julie Frost. The song has topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Syria, France and New Zealand, peaked within the top-five in Australia, the top ten in major European nations, and reached the top 40 in Austria, Canada, and Puth's native United States.

Puth revealed during an interview with Billboard that he had come up with the drumbeat for "Marvin Gaye" while sitting at a cafe in Hollywood. He also spoke about how the collaboration with Trainor came about, commenting, "Meghan and I were at a party one night, and we were exchanging the new music, and she heard "Marvin Gaye" and asked, "Who else is singing on this? It should be a duet. Let me sing on it!" So I'm like ... OK, Meghan Trainor just asked me to sing on my song, absolutely! In one day, she knew the whole thing. We did it all in one take." The song samples the bassline from "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King.

"Marvin Gaye" is a reference to the eponymous iconic soul singer with "the lyrics of the tune being an effort to spark romance and get that special someone in the mood, just as many Gaye slow jams have done for millions in the past". The song is also notable for being Trainor's first release without writing credits. The collaboration led to Puth's appearance as one of Trainor's dates in the music video for her single "Dear Future Husband".
